Rebecca Dawson, I have international training and qualifications.

I am a BHS Accredited professional coach, complete with insurance, DBS check, first aid and continued development (see qualifications).

My depth of training and experience enables me to both start the inexperienced horse and rider and provide foundation training, through to the teaching and coaching required to reach Elementary level dressage.

I have a down to earth, realistic - patient approach, putting safety and wellbeing first, while remaining conscious of the needs of the horse and companion on board.

I will work with you and your horse to improve your connection and get the best from both of you. Whether you’re building up to your first hack with a new horse, or getting ready to compete in a dressage test, I will help you to achieve your goals.

My area of expertise is in Dressage with techniques that are just as relevant and transferrable to the show jumper or cross-country course.

I am qualified to take the rider from beginner through to prelim then novice up to elementary starting with.

The rules and geography of how to ride in the arena confidently and correctly.

  • The paces, transitions and lateral movements explained and taught.

  • Exercises to test and improve balance, suppleness, and strength.

  • With the aim of progressing through the training stages of, relaxation, rhythm, suppleness, contact, impulsion, straightness, collection.
